🌟🙌🏾🏳️‍🌈 One year ago I began the process of leading the first of its kind creative collaboration between #NEONxGLAAD @glaad and @poptartsus. Together with a multidisciplinary team of Black creatives, we set out to capture a snapshot of the Black LGBTQ experience in an authentic way and bring it to the face of poptarts like never before. We conceptualized “Issa Block Party.” We then brought in the incredible @hippypotter to bring this concept to life and he sure did. Thaddeus’ joy and talent materialized into a one of a kind piece of art that puts Black LGBTQ joy front and center 🙌🏾🥹 The final product is a celebration of Blackness in its beautiful entirety! It’s a love letter to all of us. It reminds us that we belong everywhere and our beauty should be celebrated. We are one of a kind, but never alone. This project is a milestone for me and what I’ll cherish most about it is the work I was able to do along side some of the most talented, hardworking Black creatives and friends I know.
