We keep repeating this ridiculous cycle of sending kids off to school, only to interrupt their learning with drills on how to hide and fight against school shooters, and we ask ourselves: Is this normal? For kids living all across the United States, this IS normal; but it shouldn’t be. We are tired of accepting fear as a response to tragedy, instead of taking the necessary action to make our schools and communities safer. The time to stop the next school shooting is now.
