I had no idea what I was in for this year. The plan was to grow and establish. This was the year to finally take that step from opener to headliner; from a guy with scattered singles to an artist who’s done a proper album and an album tour. This was the year to finally establish that there’s something here worth buying into. It was a year of incredible growth in so many ways, and interestingly enough I feel like I grew even more as Sam than I did with Trivecta. ⁣ ⁣ It was a year of making moments, and there were so many of them. Too many to count. Many gone for good. My mind goes to a rogue psytrance set on Groove Cruise with all my friends onstage. The Ophelia events/stages that pulled our merry band of assholes together. Losing my phone in Mexico. MMW when we all got a house and Wooli and I had a full communication breakdown trying to make a b2b set. Playing some huge fests and meeting so many of the fans who allow me to do this. Going to Hawaii and slingshotting around the island! Bringing my parents onstage for EDC. Coming home and looking around after every weekend and saying man I’ve seen some shit this year. ⁣ ⁣ The common thread connecting all these memories and all the countless others is great people and great music. The love of the incredible people around me and the moments we’ve shared around the music. This year established more than anything that I’m so lucky to be living a life where my job is to share music and moments with people. I’m counting my blessings at the end of 2022 because I know this won’t last forever. But right now I’m looking at all the people around me and reflecting on the year with the fullest heart.⁣ ⁣ I’m so grateful you guys have bought in, and I’m so glad that this year the plan worked. We stepped it up and set it up so I can keep doing this with you guys bigger and better. Thank you for the best year; it’s a gift I can only hope to repay ♥️
