“MAJOR” @newschoolrepresents MAJOR show at @180.studios “You can’t play with us” “A playground, a space for joy and discovery, a space where new friends and enemies are made. This exhibition will aim to illustrate the politics of a playground. In recent years we have grown to understand the crazy injustice in holy places like the playground, where children mistreat other. kids of colour being bullied to not play with certain toy in the playground or outright just made to not feel welcome in the space. The message is to create a brutalist, reflection for those who enter this space to look back at themselves and question their presence in this space. A space which usually free from judgement is now judging you, its giving you all the tools to be able to express yourself, but you cant use some aspect of it because that option has been taken from you.“ I am not a writer so 🤷🏿‍♂️.
