My Weekend was spent doing a Wardrobe Edit. I was ruthless. Having too many clothes stresses me out. So time to go!! . . Here’s 7 Tips I always follow Step 1 Set aside some time. Be armed with bags and boxes for the unwanted items. Step 2 Set the scene - light a candle and put your favourite album on. Step 3 Take everything out and empty it into a pile. All of it! Alternatively, you could choose to do this one section at a time. Step 4 Sort into 3 piles: Keep, toss, or maybe. Go through your wardrobe and remove every item you don’t wear, no matter how potentially useful it could be or how fab it may look on its hanger, If you don’t wear it someone else will. The ‘Keep Pile’ is for stuff you really love and actually use — if you haven’t used it for 6 months, put it in the ‘Toss Pile’. The ‘Maybe Pile’ is only if you really have a hard time deciding — you’ll put these in a box and store them for 6 months, then re-evaluate. Step 5 Invest in some slim line hangers; not only will they look pretty and organised, they save space. Step 6 Clean out the wardrobe before putting your things back in. Put them back neatly and organised. Consider the Marie Folding Method if you are super organised. Step 7 Deal immediately with the other piles. Take the ‘Toss Pile’ and donate or chuck on eBay. Whenever I want something new, I always do an eBay day, you’d be surprised with how much money you can make. Whatever you do, don’t chuck in the bin. H&M offer a recycling programme where you can take any unwanted garments from any brand into their store and receive £5. All clothes are either reused, re-worn or recycled with 0% going to landfill. #wardrobeedit #wardrobedetox #declutteryourwardrobe #wardrobeedittips #capsulewardrobe #capsulecloset #tidyhousetidymind
