We’re counting down the days until we get to see double Olivier Award-winner Denise Gough in @andorofficial, premiering on 21st September on @disneyplus. “I met with [Andor writer and executive producer] Tony Gilroy, who had seen a play I’d done, which was just mind-blowing and a beautiful, amazing experience. He’s a wonderful person and a brilliant writer,” says Gough. “He talked to me about this Star Wars series and when I said to him, ‘I don’t really know Star Wars,’ he said that was great. So then, I said, ‘Look, I love this [script], but can I read anything’? So he wrote me a scene to prepare and to put on tape with him, and it was the kindest audition I have ever had; he was so nice to me and the scene was constructed in a way that was so clever.
