• Happy 2 year anniversary!!! • I’ve been a nurse for 2 years now and have gone through a rollercoaster of emotions. From feeling incompetent (hello imposter syndrome), insecure, to feeling more confident (a work in progress), and having my own voice. Here are some things I learned over the past two years as a nurse: 1. Nursing school only teaches you so much. Be ready to experience a learning curve when you get to the real world!! 2. It’s okay to not know things, as long as you’re willing to learn 3. Healthcare is romanticized in the media. It’s not always rainbows and butterflies, but don’t let the negativity ruin you 4. Although most of my learning came from the beginning of my career, I’m still learning and fine tuning the little things every day 5. Things will get better :) I still can’t believe it’s been 2 years..... it just seems like yesterday I started my nurse residency program but here I am 😭 Enjoy my little 2-year nursing recap featuring 1.5 years of wearing N95s and PPE.
