Earlier this year I was given the amazing opportunity to lens a gala video for the Currier Art Museum. While filming, we realized that this was going to be more than just a video of their Art and Wellness Programs. These incredible people we met, interviewed and stories they shared were complex, and both inspired and challenged us. These individuals showed us the power of how when we engage in art it can impact our mental, emotional and physical health. Many times, while filming and after, my fellow collaborators and I have deep, and sometimes tearful, conversations about life, trauma and the ability of art to help heal. Through these members we were lucky to share time with, The Art of Healing was formed. Thanks to Director Everett Ravens and Producer Jessie Torrance over at Makeout for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful journey.
