תערוכה חדשה דרורה דומיני: צידה לדרך ארוכה זוכת פרס רפפורט לאמנית ישראלית בכירה, 2020 אוצרת: דלית מתתיהו עוזר לאוצרת: טל ברויטמן פתיתה ב-29.11 תערוכתה המקיפה של הפסלת דרורה דומיני (נולדה 1950, קיבוץ מרחביה) פורשׂת ארבעה עשורים של עשייה, משנות ה־80 של המאה ה־20 ועד היום. מבחר מעבודותיה מוצב בחלל הגלריה כשדה פיסול מורחב, הפורע את הכרוניקה של מוקדם ומאוחר. בגישתה הייחודית לפיסול, דומיני חוקרת את ההבדלים בין שולחן, כיסא, פיגום, נדנדה, ארון, משרבייה או שלד חיה, ובו־בזמן חושפת את התבנית המשותפת להם. עולם הדומם שהיא יוצרת מתייחד בארגון המתחים בין מרחק וקִִרבה, אלה שבבית ואלה שבחוץ. הופעת הפיסול של דומיני בזירת האמנות הישראלית הניעה דיון ביקורתי באתוס הגברי של הפיסול המקומי, תוך בחינת כושרו של הקול הנשי לחולל בו תפנית. מבט לאחור על מכלול עבודתה מבהיר את תפקידה כמחנכת ופורצת דרך לאמניות ולאמנים של הדורות הבאים. - התערוכה בתמיכת קרן ברוך ורות רפפורט דימויים: מראה הצבה. צילום: אלעד שריג ~~ New Exhibition Drora Dominey: Provisions for a long journey Recipient of the Rappaport Prize for an Established Israeli Artist, 2020 Curator: Dalit Matatyahu Assistant Curator: Tal Broitman Opening 29.11 This comprehensive exhibition of works by sculptor Drora Dominey (b. 1950, Kibbutz Merhavia) spans four decades of artistic practice, from the 1980s to the present. With her unique approach to sculpture, Dominey explores the differences between a table, a chair, a scaffold, a swing, a cupboard, a mashrabiya, and an animal skeleton, while exposing their common patterns. The resulting inanimate world is unique in the way it orchestrates the tensions between distance and proximity, both inside and outside, indoors and outdoors. The emergence of Dominey's sculpture in Israeli art prompted a critical discussion of the masculine ethos of local sculpture, suggesting the feminine voice's ability to change it. - The exhibition supported by the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Foundation images: Installation view.
