I never really post jobs I assist on for a handful of reasons but I wanted to take a moment and share how grateful I feel & to encourage somebody out there!✨💫✨A few weeks ago I, along with 11 other makeup artist, assisted lead makeup artist @sirjohnofficial on the Spirit music video with Beyoncé for the Lion King movie. Definitely one for the books! A few of us were rotating being on set and back in the makeup trailers, and there was a particular moment when I was on set that it hit me! I felt so overwhelmed with gratitude that I literally had chills down my spine and I could feel a tear starting to form⚡️😌⚡️Yes it was probably a combination of the music blasting over the loud speakers, the 40 dancers going all out, the Lyrics Beyoncé was singing in the midst of the beautiful desert with the wind blowing her hair everywhere and only being so many feet away! 😄 But in that very moment I was overwhelmed with gratitude 😌🙏🏽 I mean it was a pretty epic situation to be practically having my own personal concert in the desert lol, but also just feeling so blessed and grateful to be doing what I love!😌🙌🏽 So this post goes out to all those who have dreams and goals they’ve put on the back burner. Please don’t give up on your dreams! It doesn’t matter how old you are! Don’t settle for a career/job you aren’t happy in! You have one life, tomorrow is promised to NO ONE. Get up and figure out what steps you need to take that will lead you in the direction you want to be in! You CAN do it!!💪🏽💪🏽 Believe me when I say there’s A LOT to my story but about 3 years ago I literally woke up and told my husband that I wasn’t happy with where I was at in my life! I couldn’t let another day go by not doing what I’m most passionate about!!! I remember him telling me, “ok babe, do it, figure out what steps you need to take and we’ll figure it out” (I just love him so much😊💙). So since then I’ve taken sooo many steps to get me where I am today, and counting!🏃🏽‍♀️😄 I have to remember that my journey is not like anyone else’s journey, because we can all sit here and compare our lives to what everyone else is doing, am I right?!!
