My obsession with funfetti cake needs to be studied 😭🎉 throwback to my doctored funfetti cake recipe! Recipe: Cake * 1 box white cake mix * 1-3oz box vanilla instant pudding mix * 4 large egg whites, room temperature * 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature * 1/2 cup sour cream * 1/4 cup vegetable oil * 1 tsp butter extract * 2 tsp vanilla extract * Sprinkles Easy Vanilla Frosting * 2 sticks butter, softened * 3 1/2-4 cups powdered sugar * 2-3 tbsp heavy whipping cream * 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract * Pinch of sea salt Bake Temperature: 350F Bake Time: 22-25 minutes Pan: 2-8x8 round cake pans Cake 1. Add cake mix, egg whites, pudding mix, oil, buttermilk, sour cream, vanilla extract, and butter extract to a bowl or mixer and blend until cake batter forms. 2. Add sprinkles and fold into batter with a spatula. 3. Spray/coat your cake pans with whatever you use to successfully release your cakes from their pans. 4. Evenly divide cake batter into each pan. 5. Bake at 350F for about 22-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. 6. Once out of oven, let cool in pan for no more than 10 minutes then release from pan. Let cool to room temperature. Easy Vanilla Frosting 1. Beat your butter for about 3 minutes until smooth. 2. Slowly add powdered sugar. Also add heavy cream, sea salt, and vanilla extract. If your frosting is too runny, add more powdered sugar. If your frosting is too thick add a bit more heavy cream until you get the consistency you desire! Frosting Cake 1. Add first layer face up onto a cake plate. Add some of your frosting to the middle and spread all on top of cake. This will be your middle layer of frosting. 2. Flip your other layer upside down and place on top. 3. Add the rest of your frosting on top and spread around sides and top of cake, sealing together. 4. Sprinkle extra sprinkles on top of cake. 5.
