Master Fromme getting the 2022 season started off right with this stud velvet buck in Utah! 🏹🦌🇺🇸 @bob_fromme ・・・ After a couple of close calls with our target buck another hunter arrowed him. Strategy on public land hunting always has some hindsight moments. We had seen quite a few bucks looking for a plan B when we spotted this solid 4 by that was feeding along by himself. I decided to give him a try. The knarley in-line brow tune buck got saved several times by his buddies. Our new target buck was feeding along at a pretty fast pace so I had to angle in front of his anticipated route. There was finally an opening at about 52 yards that looked like he would walk through if he kept on keeping on. When he stopped just past the pine tree that I had ranged I settled the dialed pin in just below his spine and focused on trying to make a controlled shot. The hit wasn’t perfect but solid and a complete pass through. The hunt checked all of the boxes, Utah is sooo beautiful this time of year especially if it gets rained on.
