Found some old snaps from Vietnam ten years ago as a teenager, from Sapa, to Hanoi, Da Nang, friends, my apartment at @namnggg place... I was meant to go to Ibiza with the boys but drunkenly accepted to enrol on a foreign teaching program after a night in London (maybe I was too chicken to do it sober) and it certainly changed my life forever. Vietnam gave me a travel bug that has itched distractingly ever since. Occasionally, I wonder what might have been different had I gone to Ibiza instead that year and spent the summer hopped up between fleeting raves; the idea of visiting someplace so far never interested me until I actually went. I’m still sometimes a bit nervous to return in case it isn’t exactly the same as when I left it. But you never forget your first love.
