Recently my days have been so full for my body. Engorged time is thick against my chest, like compression tights, a stent in my heart-paths, as if to allow the full force of the surge, a silent siren, only palpable within, like a sure ripple and a surer calm. This is mine, this is mine, this is mine...? Some memories are more magical than others. This season of change and undoing could never be known without a fabric this well stitched and sturdy. I realise now I have always been mid-air, floating and not quite falling, trusting and fearing my impending gravity... only to recall, once in a while, to great resonance, charm and deep gratitude, the soft dependable mesh of earth who knows and loves me, trusts and finds me, scolds and prays for me.
