Today we remember those who lost their lives 21 years ago on one of the darkest days in our nation’s history. Spending time this morning with members of the FDNY Rescue 1 was a sobering reminder of the bravery and unity that helped save so many lives. Thank you to Captain John P. Ceriello for hosting me, and to all of the men and women who shared their incredible stories. My thoughts are with the families, friends, and everyone impacted on this day.
