Two for two with podiums at my most recent bike events and it feels good to be getting back into the swing of racing!⁠ ⁠ First up was some track fun with @hhvwomen League over the weekend, kicked off by a flying 200, followed by a scratch race, individual pursuit and points race. The first few events were pretty solid (I even enjoyed the pursuit!), before absolutely blowing up in the points race. Despite that, I still managed to be the 3rd highest league points scorer on the night and move up to 3rd in the As after two rounds of the league⁠ ⁠ Then, a trip to Hillingdon on Tuesday for some crit racing. True to form, I lurked at/off the back, working way harder than I needed to, but I did actually try to move up in the bunch this time when I felt comfortable. Making it to the last lap was a struggle, but a cheeky sprint up the inside (which tbh took me by surprise) bagged me the win!⁠ ⁠ I still massively struggle with nerves despite having raced for a few years, so I don't find I have much confidence when I'm going into a race, especially after the end of last season. So I'm really trying to build that up and this has been a massive boost.⁠ ⁠ Up next: more track racing to get stuck into and more pursuits to enjoy!
