NOT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION It’s just a cool makeup! For the episode Momento Mori, Jamie Hess and I partnered on creating this skull fracture/road rash effect on actor Tracy Letts as Coach Jack McKinney. Jamie applied a generic silicone cheek and eye bags from VVDFX to create the swelling. I pre-made the “skin-loss” areas by pouring super-baldeez “islands” on a non-stick silicone slab, and built them up using alcohol and tattoo ink so the blood/flesh color would be intrinsic to the pieces. When they were dry, we could just peel them off and apply them with alcohol. They were super thin and remained shiny. They worked well since this makeup played several times throughout the episode.
