@meilaiwahcoffeeshop has a new street food concept called Munchiez! READ BELOW 👇 for more info!
Munchiez (📍126 MacDougal St, New York, NY) features late-night Cantonese classics along with some of Mei Lai Wah’s iconic menu options. Munchiez offers roast pork buns, Cheung Fun, grilled skewers, Oden, tea eggs and more. During my visit, so I had to start with their famous and iconic Pineapple Roast Pork Bun. I love how it crumbles perfectly to reveal its mixture of glazed Cantonese roast pork or Char Siu. I also tried their grilled fish balls and pork belly. Usually, Munchiez charcoal grills their skewers on weekends when they are open until 3am. I also saved some room for their Cheung Fun (Steamed Rice Rolls) topped with peanut and hoisin sauce. The springiness of their Rice Rolls was super delicious! Munchiez’s Oden section reminds me the ones you may find at convenience stores in Asia! Plus, don’t sleep on their Egg Yolk Bun and Popcorn Chicken.
Munchiez is run by Ivy and Ben Chen. Their family operates Mei Lai Wah bakery – a Chinatown institution. I love their quick bites and late-night “munchies” concept!
Please check them out and support them!
