In the last week I’ve had a number of people ask me what shirts I print on, meaning they’re looking to do their own shirts. This picture is an example of a failed shirt I created. It’s a 1 of 1 because none sold. It’s a gamble for every design I put out and I lose money on more than you’d think. If you’re trying to start your own brand in this age, you better have very thick skin and be unique because EVERYONE is selling shirts now. So be prepared to fail a few times before anything hits. What is going to make yours stand out? I’m not trying to be harsh, it’s the truth. Why is someone going to spend money on your logo and represent a brand you created overnight? When you’ve established a purpose or likeminded audience through your passion, that’s when you start making merch because then your brand actually stands for something.
