And just like that Maternity Leave begins.... Thank you to every couple, every client, every fellow vendor, every family member and friend who has supported us this season. What a year! What a 6 months! 🤪 With Covid lockdowns restricting the first half of the financial year, we didn’t really have the opportunity to hit the GO button until October/ November 2021. And then in December we found out we were having a baby! 👶🏼 This season pushed us to the limit, I actually could not have finished this season without my amazing husband. When nausea got the better of me in my first trimester, Andrew was the one loading the van, unloading the van, driving me to deliveries and he even got his hands dirty doing the dishes with me. Husband, thank you for endlessly supporting me and this business, all while working a full time job and running your own small business. You are my rock. ❤️ So after being apart of over 145 incredible events this season, 111 of which were completed while I was pregnant, it is finally time to take a break and begin maternity leave. I am spent! 🫣 The next year will look a little different at EMC. Emails will now not be monitored daily, but every couple of weeks, this business will be in hibernation mode while we adjust to our new life as a family of 3 two legged humans 👨‍👩‍👦 and 4 four legged fur children 🐶🐶🐶🐶 in August. We will still be completing existing bookings for the remainder of 2022 and a handful of events booked for 2023. As this is our first child and will be our only child, I am conscious of taking the time to really enjoy, absorb and not miss any of the little moments. Thank you for your understanding and support on this next journey in our lives. Although we’ll still be around and active (maybe?!) on social media we will be hibernating!
