❤️‍🔥Two years sober❤️‍🔥 I’ve found this second year a lot harder than the first. There have been so many celebratory moments, as well as new kinds of stress that have challenged my sobriety. At times I’ve even questioned whether I need to continue with it; somehow justifying that I’ve done my stint and things would be different this time when ultimately I know that’s not true. The first year I filled the void with an addiction to work but as Queercircle starts to settle I’ve been left with new types of voids. It’s taken a lot of time, patience and unlearning to reach a place where I’m comfortable with it again, and I’m thankful for the new experiences, conversations and friendships it has brought to my life. I’m learning that it’s a process and to ultimately be kinder to myself. I’m sharing this as I’ve been helped by others sharing their stories of sobriety and I’m here if anyone wants to chat about it. ❤️‍🔥
