The “Pro-Life” / anti-abortion group at The Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Soho, which consists of church staff, parishioners and others, spend every first Saturday of the month walking a few blocks to the Planned Parenthood on Bleecker Street in Manhattan, where they intimidate and harass people who are there to use the healthcare services provided at this facility. @nycforabortionrights organized a counter protest, creating a protest picket line in front of the cathedral. The NYPD got involved, and accused the group of “blocking traffic” and physically pushed them several blocks, for about 90 minutes all the way to Planned Parenthood, creating a path for the “pro-life” group to walk to the facility, where they ironically let them freely stand on the sidewalk. This woman, who is part of this same Pro-Life group, regularly dresses up as a Planned Parenthood escort, then tries to deter people from entering the Planned Parenthood facility.
