Today is @mr.knute ‘s third birthday, and I cannot handle it. Time needs to slow down! I’ve spent a lot of my life looking ahead to what’s next, convinced that what’s coming is better than what is. But the past months have made me want this chapter to never ever end, our first summer in Lofoten as a family. Turning 30 (when I feel like I just turned 25) has been a huge reminder that time goes by really fast whether or not we’re appreciating our lives, so we might as well be as grateful as we can for what we have right now. And the fact that our tiny furball is now 3 just really hits that point home. I just want to spend the rest of our days with this funny, little boy 🥹🐾 But if we’re really lucky, we might have one more decade with him. Which both breaks my heart and helps me pause many times a day to hug and cuddle and hike and pile so much love on him. Dogs are the ultimate teachers of being present and enjoying our lives, because even though time goes fast for us, it goes even faster for them... even with all the uncertainty and pain and unrest happening right now, we must all prioritize who and what we love.
