Earlier this month we got to visit one of our farm partners in upstate NY! Snowdance is owned and operated by the Jaffe Family in Livingston Manor. The Jaffes relocated upstate following 9/11 and found healing in tending to the land. They raise animals using humane practices and, in addition to raising their own meat, Snowdance Farm acts as a distributor for family farms all over NY and PA. They source according to their own high standards (good for us!) and take care of the distribution logistics for their fellow small family farms (good for the small farms!). We offer American Bird and Heritage Breed chickens from Snowdance. Their poultry is always air-chilled for quality and flavor, free-range, and grown locally on family farms. Since there is no chlorinated water bath (as is common with most commercially sold chicken), you get a better textured, flavored, and quicker cooking chicken that is better for you and for the environment.
