I have been ahead of my game with @ihe.ohere and when you feel like no one will get it, your internal dialogue starts making excuses. Change is great. I’m not diving into a new “thing”, I’m simply exploring what I’m always deep in research about. Architecture & Design is what I studied. Acknowledging that I was not encouraged by teachers to execute ideas based on my African heritage, I knew my knowledge & aesthetic would come to good use later. Now, I’m using my photographic skill to tell the stories I want to see. No more waiting for the “industry” to let me in.
