Where do I begin?...but that’s just it. You begin by pushing through to keep on living. It’s a strange place to arrive at once you’re there. It’s familiar. Less shiny but rich in colour. Same shit slightly different day. When I look back at my own childhood I’ve always been rooted in myself. My mother instilled this in me at a young age & I always found it strange why others couldn’t do the same. She put it simply: “Be yourself. Sometimes that’s all we’ll have in life but at least that’s SOMETHING, so hold on to that”. She was introducing me to the starting point of integrity. And as life unfolds all it does is affirm me for the man I know myself to be.
