Our very special Noble Sweet and Szegedi 178 Paprikas are grown on a small regenerative farm by our partner farmer, Péter, in the oldest paprika-growing region of Hungary. Whether you need a paprika with an earthy sweetness or are in search of a spicy paprika with a long, warm burn (or both), we think you’re going to love these new Hungarian paprikas. Szegedi 178 is an heirloom variety of hot peppers which has a beautiful red pepper aroma and a long, warm burn. After curing, the peppers are dehydrated, ground and blended with sweet paprika in small batches. With notes of hay, dried plum, and glowing coals, it makes the perfect addition to soups, stews, rubs and marinades for a gorgeous color and fresh paprika kick. Our very special Noble Sweet Paprika is perfect for classic Hungarian dishes, adding richness, sweetness, and depth to anything it touches. Our partner farmer, Péter, grows two heirloom varieties of peppers: Szegedi 80, known for its deep red color and sweetness, and mihályteleki, known for its rich fragrance. The peppers are picked when perfectly ripe, cured, dehydrated, and ground in small batches to produce a totally distinctive sweet paprika you won’t want to miss!
