Weather & Services Advisory #05 – TD03F Monday 10th of January 2022 at 4pm We continue to monitor all relevant weather forecasts & conditions in relation to Tropical Cyclone Cody. In addition, the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) continue to suspend all marine clearances, therefore, preventing our vessels from operating until further notice. We understand this current suspension will be reviewed at around 6.00pm today however based on the current situation please note the important information which is as follows: • South Sea Island Full & Half Day Cruises have been cancelled for tomorrow – Tuesday 11th of January 2022. • South Sea Sailing has been cancelled for tomorrow – Tuesday 11th of January 2022. • All private speed boat transfers to/from island resorts in the Mamanuca Islands have been cancelled for tomorrow – Tuesday 11th of January 2022. • Resort Connection services to/from resorts in the Mamanuca Islands remain suspended for tomorrow, Tuesday 11thof January 2022 however we will review this decision later today should MSAF lift the current suspension on marine clearances. If this is lifted and we can operate we will issue a further advisory later this evening. Weather conditions for tomorrow are forecasted to remain unpleasant with winds of more than 20 knots, gusting to over 30 knots at times causing the continuation of rough seas. On this basis, please note the safe operation of all services remain subject to the latest weather forecast and sea conditions and services may be disrupted or suspended at the discretion of both our operations team and/or the vessel’s captain with little or no notice. This includes the possibility of suspending services whilst underway. It should also be noted by all customers that our coach transfers to and from Port Denarau will only operate tomorrow whereby road access is clear from localized flooding. Our next advisory regarding Day Cruises and Resort Connection services will be issued at around 4.00pm on Tuesday 11th of January 2022 unless the current suspension is lifted, and we can safely operate Resort Connections tomorrow. If so, we’ll issue another advisory this evening, most likely after 6.00pm.
