Last week we visited this small workshop to discuss a custom packaging project for our client. The artisans use banana stems that are 'waste' from banana plantations to create paper. The paper can be used for various products, if we want to make it into a box as in this reel, we need carton inside to make the product rigid. Other than making banana stem paper, the artisans in this workshop also recycle paper. If you are interested in visiting these or other artisans in Bali, we will be very happy to organize a one or multiple day sourcing tour for you. We will create a custom schedule based on your needs and visit 4 - 6 artisans and/or suppliers per day. During the tour you will be accompanied by our driver and a guide from our team to help with consultation and translation if needed during the meetings.
