A message from @venacava.tm from the POC Drag Art Collective: “This Sunday, September 25th, we will have a fundraising event for @brigadasolidariadeloeste (BOS) at @therosemontnyc in Brooklyn. Hurricane Fiona has caused great damages to Puerto Rico including, but not limited to, mass flooding, landslides, leaving the island in a complete blackout and 70% of it’s residents without access to running water. A large majority of the damages occurred to the western, southern and central parts of the island. In past natural disasters, donating to government institutions has led to fraudulent behavior and the communities in need not receiving the aid they greatly require. For this reason, I have decided to allocate all our earnings from this event to BOS, a nonprofit group lead by and for Puerto Ricans.
