And congrats to restaurant editor @khushandoj for scouting her first class and profiling them with poise. This has become one of my favorite days of the year and we couldn’t share these stories with the world without contributions from the entire team @foodandwine.
Since 1988, Food & Wine has recognized an annual class of BNCs- 10 chefs who make the sharpest, most forward-thinking, and satisfying food in America. But why run a list now, when restaurants as we knew them are on indefinite hiatus? Because for 32 years, the accolade has not only celebrated the best cooking of the day, but also the culinary leaders of tomorrow. In that respect, this year’s class is no different. “This year’s class will shape the future,” writes @khushandoj. “With them at the helm, the future of dining looks brighter, fairer, and more delicious than ever before.”
