The Journey of one of our wonderful suppliers, @floatinbuka (and a few of their top tips for creating a vegan-friendly version of Jollof, a classic Nigerian dish)🇳🇬
Their story started in 2010, as a family run business dreamt up by Olabisi Abe in her family home based in South East London.
In 2021 during the pandemic, Olabisi longed for people to enjoy more accessible and healthy Nigerian takeaway food that serves the community and their guests at any function. Her children, Naomi and Esther, decided to take their mother's dream from the comfort of their home to a commercial takeaway kitchen.
Just 6 months later, they’ve now moved to a high street takeaway shop just a few streets away from the house where their story began. Floatin’ Buka began its journey of serving delicious food made with love to communities far and wide, with family values, unsociable meal hours and the love for delicious, varied and healthy alternative food in mind.
Their team originally started as a trio (a mother and her two daughters) and since, is rapidly growing and now stands at 6 members. All passionate about giving their customers the best experience, so they can concentrate on enjoying the food, their company and time together.
