🦁 INSTAGRAM TAKEOVER WITH THE TIMID AUTHOR, HARRY WOODGATE 🦁 I had so much fun visiting independent bookshops following the UK publication of TIMID and creating lots of colourful window displays! I usually make these displays using a combination of foamboard props and painting directly on the bookshop window. I feel this helps add a little extra visual depth when there are different elements occupying the window space, and it also means I can prepare things in advance which cuts down on the installation time. Not to mention I feel far more comfortable painting things the right way round on a sheet of foamboard than trying to mentally reverse everything in my mind when I’m painting back to front on the bookshop glass!
