I had a great time last night at the Creative Arts Emmys. My wonderful agent David Shaul, braved and conducted me across a fiery red carpet, in an ungodly 109° . We found our really fun table, populated with some of my favorite actors Jane Adams, and Christopher McDonald ( from #Hacks) Martha Kelly, and Colman Domingo, ( from #Euphoria) and their lovely companions. Coleman gave, I think, the best acceptance speech of the night. At the party I happily congratulated Kathleen Felix-Hager, who had won for best contemporary costume. She and Karen Bellamy do such a great job on Hacks. David and I talked with a bunch of fun and sweet people, and on the way out, Harriet Walter whom I admire, got the chance to say hello in person, after so many years, that we can’t be quite sure where we met. Although Emmy did not come home with me, and went to live with her sisters at Laurie Metcalf’s, we had a very nice time. My evening bag and I were so happy to be invited.
