LONG POST ALERT!!!!! 🚨 My full #MadonnaCelebrationTour post. This was the 4th time taking my mom to see #Madonna. In 2008, we were in Section 302 for The Sticky and Sweet Tour and I promised myself I would make sure to be front row with my mom at the next show. My mom and I have since been literally beside the stage for the past 3 Madonna concerts. My mom listened to Madonna cassettes when she was pregnant with me. I remember her playing the Erotica and The Immaculate Collection while she was cleaning the house when I was a child. The You Can Dance album was also constantly in rotation at 3196 Osbourne Road! My mom woke me up and brought me downstairs to watch Madonna interviews late at night or when Madonna performed on awards shows. My mom would record Madonna music videos, films and interviews for me on VHS so I could watch them when I got home from school. My dad waited in line at Chapters for the midnight release of the Music album and would let me rent The Girlie Show from Rogers Video. My parents have always been huge supporters of my Madonna devotion and always without judgement (my dad bought me the shirt I wore to this concert for Christmas!). The least I could do is repay them by taking my mom and sharing the most beautiful experiences of my life with the two women I love the most: Mommy and Madonna. The point of the story is that my Madonna adoration is my mom’s fault!!!!! Another special moment was when @davidrobert and our moms got to do a shot of tequila before the concert began. If you told me in 2009 that one day David Robert and I would be best friends and in 15 years we would both be at a Madonna concert with our moms, I would not be able to process that. But we did it! Michael Yerxa bought these tickets months ago with the intention of he and I going together but I just had to take my mom once I learned the songs Madonna performs on this tour. I asked him one day if he minded me going with my mom and without hesitation, he blessed me with truly experiencing the best night of my life. I pray that each of you get to have a friend and brother as kind, loving and generous as @mikeyerxa in this lifetime. Thank you bud🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹.
