As a animal person, I’ve loved all my cats deeply and equally. But Mungo (mung bean, fifi, grace) was by far the funniest creature i have ever known. She was indifferent and cool and yet somehow deeply loving and healing. More than one person in my life described her as a nurse. she gave love and comfort to those people and to anyone who walked through our door. She was there for me during some very difficult times and some very happy times. She always knew what i needed from her even tho i didn’t always know what she needed from me. . She was the best ping pong player I’ve ever seen and blew everyone away with her abilities (proof in my video highlights). She was the most comfortable non human spooning companion of all time, and the only cat I’ve ever known who would knock on the door to come in even when it was already slightly open. I knew when i adopted an older and very fat cat that i wouldn’t have an extremely long time with her but i didn’t expect to only have four years.. it’s just too little. I’m so grateful that my son atticus got to meet her and hear her purr. Im sharing on this Instagram account because i know so many of you were fans of mungo and often asked me to post more Mungbean content. A few of you even asked if you could start a mungo Instagram account for me if i didn’t want to do it myself. She was a truly exceptional creature. Special shout out to her number one fan @evachen212 for making her ig famous for a little while. I’ll never forget being in line at whole foods and hearing two women talk about how much they love this big grey cat that Eva’s always sharing. I’ll miss her forever and it hurts so much. . I love you mungo. I’m sorry you couldn’t live forever. There will always be a hole i can’t fill without you. I hope the ping pong balls are endless across the rainbow bridge.
