This lush journey has been such a lovely adventure, an opportunity for me to dive into the wonders of nature with a sense of eager curiosity ... bringing these lush lil viridescent creatures into the spaces I call home, basking in their intricate glamorous green beauty and learning the lessons hidden in the folds of their foliage. Through caring for my green gurls, I have learned so much about myself ... who I am as a nurturer; that I need to be better about giving myself the grace, patience, and forgiveness I know I deserve; that healing is like new growth ... it’s a process that needs time, love, energy, and intentionality; and that at the end of the day I too need sunlight, water, and nutrients to continue to grow into my best self Being an educator at heart, I started my Instagram account (@plantkween) in 2016 as a way to share the many lessons, lush adventures, and simple joys that come with being a plant parent. My social media presence has been rooted in a journey of self-care, unaplogetic Black queer non-binary joy-sharing, and community building all through the wonders of those green little creatures we call plants 🪴 Sharing this journey with you all has been such a lovely blessing that I am grateful for every single day, and hunny, she’s gonna continue to strut into the lushness with a fierceness ...
