This album is symbolic of the last couple years for me in every way. Personally and professionally, it represents a huge transitional period in my life. The past couple years seems to have been about changes, and letting go of some things to make way for new. It’s amazing how far it’s come from it’s very beginning idea and now into your hands as a listener, packaged with a name on it. “No Regular Dog”. Yet still, I feel this might only be the beginning. It touches on determination, guilt, grief, self-love, self-hatred, the road, addiction, devotion, love, the randomness of life and overall understanding your inherent worth and what truly validates us as humans. I believe none of it means anything if we don’t have peace of mind. I spent a long time being so afraid of certain things and seeking outside of myself for strength and confidence, when come to find out it was within myself the whole time. I guess I’m finally learning to embrace what makes me special and guess what...I’m gonna lean into it. I hope we all can try to do the same. Find the “No Regular Dog” within yourself. I’m here now and you know what? I think I’ll stay awhile. 🐺✨

However this album is perceived, I can say with the most confidence that we made something I’m truly proud of, and that is all that matters to me. I’m going to continue making those types of records, the types of records that I love. Find whatever sparks your fire, and go with it. I hope these songs find a way to you and bring you joy in these dark, confusing and yet still beautiful times.
