On view at the Musée de l’Orangerie through September 5 is “Novo Pilota: Amedeo Modigliani and his dealer Paul Guillaume,” an exhibition illustrating the close relationship Modigliani had with his dealer Paul Guillaume. The exhibition is centered around “Novo Pilota,” one in a series of portraits of Guillame, and the most emblematic painting from the early days of this relationship. Presented alongside graphic, photographic and documentary elements, this exhibition restores the links between the ingenious painter, who died at an early age in 1920, and his dealer.
