The hard part about being chronically ill with a rare brain disorder is that so many little things can come up that might knock you off your feet just as you’re getting your footing back. The second thing is the impact it has on your loved ones and support system. My incredible husband has slept on so many uncomfortable chairs and couches in the last 2 years. I’ve been admitted into the hospital on pain management and investigation to my severe symptoms. I am okay for the most part, they believe that Sgt. Hondo (my VP shunt) is over draining the fluid in my head. But they’re also checking to make sure that my two stents aren’t obstructed. My spirits are high for a quick bounce back this time.
