ENTREE AWARDS 2022 💥 What a night! No one does after gala parties like the bar industry, am I right?? 🔥 Huge congrats to @stefansumual and @taru.bar for winning best bartender and best new cocktail bar - well deserved! Besides this, I’m in awe of all the inspiring, fun, strong women representing brands, bars and our trade so beautifully, mingling together at this event - it makes me very happy that we have so much fun together and continue to support one another ❤️ But on that note, I do strongly feel that it’s time for entree awards to update their ceremony and jury to fit the Horeca of the Netherlands today. There’s no room in a modern thriving industry for racism, sexism and distasteful jokes on other peoples expense. We should be very grateful that people of other nationalities decide to move here, start thriving cocktail bars and continue to grow and push the Dutch bar industry forward. The joke of “I guess we will have to do this in English because there’s no one with a Dutch name here on stage” is just.. sad. Do Better. In conclusion - More women in the jury, more diversity and drop the distasteful acts. Great after party though 🖤 @entreemag #awardshow #horecanederland
