I’m super excited to announce the release of The Surf Atlas, a brand new book I co-wrote and co-edited alongside @gestalten. It features a collection of stories and photo series celebrating the dizzying diversity of our surfing world, from emerging scenes in Senegal and Iran to iconic enclaves in Europe and The South Pacific. The idea was to go beyond the standard surf travel guide format and focus instead on the events and characters that shaped the culture of each place. For me, it was a great way to pull together some of my all-time favourite tales uncovered over ten years of writing about surfing. Beyond the place-specific profiles ,there are also some essays by brilliant surf writers Jamie Currie and Lilly Plume (@musebyplume) on subjects including style, big waves and cold water exploration. The whole thing is illustrated by imagery from some of the world’s finest surf photographers and beautifully designed by the team at @gestalten.
