Dear friends, Last year, we started working on an amazing film project by @barbaracigarroa taking place in the Rio Grande Valley, on the border of Texas and Mexico. During our time casting in the area, we had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people, and were greeted with warmth and generosity by everyone we encountered. We were lucky to work with the wonderful organization R.O.C.A. - Revival Of Cultural Arts - they have been a bedrock in the community, providing arts education, as well as taking care of the community with love, care, attention and mutual aid. Texas’s Rio Grande Valley is one of the areas that has been most adversely affected by COVID-19. Already a vulnerable community, where more than a third of its largely Hispanic population lives in poverty, the pandemic has devastated the area. During the pandemic, R.O.C.A has been working hard to continue to serve the community and address food insecurity and connectivity. They have become a hotspot for the surrounding community, providing essential services and continuing their arts education programs. We have set up a fundraiser to support their incredible work in these difficult times. Please consider making a donation - even a small amount can go a long, long way.
