Sustainability and respecting all wonders of Mother Nature were key when designing @thecavebali. Hidden within a living cave the restaurant has extreme conditions that needed to be protected to ensure none of the elements were damaged during production or when open. Temperature, lighting, ventilation and even the materials used were all carefully considered in the design procedure. We have ensured that the antibacterial foam and fabrics used throughout the venue are fire resistant. UBD Global is committed to using reclaimed and renewable products whenever possible. Over 90% of materials in The Cave have been sustainably sought and locally sourced. The natural phenomenon is lit up by an upside down universe of fiber optics and LED lights that have been built into a lava stone flooring, presenting a spectacular visual and functional design element into the space.
