Blog/Website. The author of the blog wrote of the museums layout describing it as following a “cloverleaf floorplan” meaning that the exhibits are all arranged around a large central courtyard that they have access too. The author claims that this approach is ideal for museums due to the fact that it minimizes the need to backtrack through exhibits to reach exits or other necessary facilities, one needs only to exit the gallery onto the courtyard to orient oneself. I would agree and say that this is one of the museum’s greatest strengths. Its layout grants visitors the freedom to either follow the chronological flow of the exhibits or to meander from exhibit to exhibit via the courtyard. http://evrsig.blogspot.com/2011/09/cloverleaf-floorplans-are-ideal.html
