new year’s resolution: be more tracey emin. i had the pleasure of interviewing her for this weekend’s cover of @ft_howtospendit , where she does indeed tell us “how i spend it!” — and it being tracey, there’s a few dozen brilliant ways. you probably know she’s had a rough few years fending off cancer; she’s now better, making work and focusing on a huge investment in her hometown Margate which will support her fellow artists. we had a long (and often very lolz) chat where we covered love, money, art, grief, legacy, drugs, expensive ancient egyptian cats and more. thank you @jellison22, plus @katiefcwebb , @wellerharry , @robertdiament and of course @traceyeminstudio — not least for the guided tour of Margate where she showed me all of her exciting plans. “If you can change your life, you should,” she told me, “because there’s a hell of a lot of a people that can’t!” Believe me babes, i’m trying.
