It was an honor serving as the showrunner for @USofAlCBS these past couple of years and to be a part of a writers' room that included the voices of talented Afghan and Muslim storytellers who played a prominent role in authentically sharing our main character Awalmir's journey. I won't lie, it is heartwrenching to receive this incredible award from @mpachollywoodbureau since we didn't get a 3rd season, but it's also extremely touching to understand the magnitude of impact this show has made on the hearts that needed it the most.
