#추석리움 🌝🐇 ⠀ 박영숙 작가의 크고 맑은 달항아리와 함께 한가위 인사를 전합니다. 차오르는 달처럼 풍요로운 추석 명절 보내시길 바라겠습니다. 리움미술관은 추석 당일만 쉬어갑니다. ⠀ 🚀 휴관일 : 9월 10일(토), 추석 당일 ⠀ “전시 제목인 <여월지항>은 사서삼경 중 하나로 유교의 대표 경전인 『시경(詩經)』경에 나오는 ‘천보(天保)’라는 시의 구절을 응용한 것입니다. 원래의 ‘여월지항(如月之恒)’이란 구절은 상현달이 보름달이 되듯 풍성해지기 바라는 뜻을 담고 있으나, 여기에서는 상현달을 뜻하는 ‘항(恒)’을 항아리를 뜻하는 ‘항(缸)’으로 바꾸어 박영숙의 작업이 차오르는 달처럼 풍요롭기를 바라는 마음을 담았습니다.” ⠀ 《여월지항如月之缸: 박영숙 백자》 2022. 9. 2.(금) – 2022. 11. 20.(일) ⠀ Leeum wishes you a happy Chuseok with artist Park Young-sook's moon jars, full and bright as the harvest moon. Leeum will be closed on the day of Chuseok. ⠀ 🌕 Closed: Chuseok, Saturday September 10th ⠀ "The Korean title of this exhibition—Yeo wol ji hang—is inspired by the famous poem “May Heaven Protect You,” in which the waxing of the moon is used to symbolize wishes for the eternal prosperity of the king and country. The exhibition title plays upon the fact that the Chinese characters for “waxing moon” (恒) and “jar” (缸) have the same pronunciation in Korean. This exhibition uses moon jars to show that Park Young-sook’s art is as profuse and abundant as a full moon, while showing her crucial role in elevating ceramics into artworks for appreciation and self-expression.
