This is my go-to recipe when I need something EASY but still mind-blowingly DELICIOUS.
Pork shoulder → high sear for flavor → then braised low & slow in soy, vinegar, garlic, onion, bay leaf, black pepper, and a touch of sugar. 45 minutes later… the meat super tender, and the sauce is rich, bold, and loaded with comfort.
It’s SIMPLE. It’s DELICIOUS. And it’s PURE COMFORT FOOD. ✨

Ingredients:
- 2-3 lbs. pork should, cubed
- ½ onion diced
- 1 whole garlic, minced
- ½ cup soy
- ½ cup vinegar
- 1 tsp black pepper or peppercorn
- 3 bay leave
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- Corn starch, to thicken
Instructions:
- Season pork with SPG, and sear all side brown. Remove from pan.
- Sautee onion and garlic
- Add soy sauce and vinegar, bay leave, pepper, and sugar
- Add back pork
- Add enough water to cover
- Simmer for at least 45 minutes until meat is super tender, and broth thickens. Add corn starch slurry if needed
