✨Cocktail Pod Tutorial✨ I will have the recipes for different cocktails posted, but this is the step by step of how to make these amazing pods! * 5g sodium alginate
* 1L distilled water
* 200g cocktail (60g of hard liquor to 140g of mixer. Or non-alcoholic 200g)
* 6g calcium lactate
* Silicone Ice molds
* Kitchen Scale
* Immersion Blender
1. Measure 1 liter of distilled water
2. Measure 5g of sodium alginate
3. Using an immersion blender, combine sodium alginate and distilled water in a large airtight bowl • Let sit for 1-24 hours to allow bubbles to dissipate
4.Measure out 200g of whatever cocktail/drink you want inside and 6g of calcium lactate • Blend the calcium and cocktail
5. Pour cocktail into silicone ice molds and freeze for 12-24 hours
6.Warm the sodium alginate bath to about 120 degrees F and prepare two bowls with cold water
7. Drop one frozen cocktail pod into the sodium alginate bath and gently stir the water with a spoon (be careful not to touch pod with the spoon until the membrane has formed)
8. Pick up the pod with a slated spoon, wipe the bottom of the spoon with a paper towel, and transfer to the first cold water bath • Rinse thoroughly by stirring the water, repeat the process with the second bath
Step 9. Serve or store in an airtight container filled with a holding liquid made up of the cocktail (minus the calcium) All ingredients can be purchased on Amazon with the link in my bio. #reversespherification #cocktailpods
